What should I bring to the hospital?
Packing for the hospital can be overwhelming but you don’t want to wait until you go into labor to start. Our packing list helps you narrow down the items you’ll want at the hospital.
When to Pack a Hospital Bag
Typically, it’s best to have your hospital bag packed by 38 weeks, or about halfway through the third trimester. However, if you have a high-risk pregnancy with a chance of early delivery, make sure you’re packed by 35 weeks. You can always get a head start, but don’t wait until the last minute to pack!

Make sure to bring your driver’s license or another form of ID, as well as your health insurance card and a copy of your birth plan if you have one.

In addition to your normal toiletries, it’s a good idea to bring breast pads and sanitary pads. This can make you more comfortable at the hospital. If you’re planning on breastfeeding, bring a breast pump as well.
