The 100th Baby of 2020

Iowa Specialty Hospital’s 100th baby of 2020, Teagan Rae Meyer, was born on March 16, 2020 at 2:59 in the afternoon to parents, Justin and Kelly Meyer of Belmond. Baby Teagan weighed 7 pounds 0.9 ounces and was 19.5 inches in length. She will be welcomed home by sibling Theo, who is two.
“This was a whole different experience with the coronavirus and no visitors,” shared mom Kelly. “It was still a good experience and worth it.”
“In this time of uncertainty, one thing that remains constant is the birth of babies,” said Jenn Mewes, RN/OB Leader. “We are blessed to continue to provide excellent care to mothers, ensuring a healthy delivery. We are thankful that Kelly and Justin entrusted us and allowed us to be a part of their birth experience.”
In 2019, Iowa Specialty Hospital delivered 426 babies which is the most ever delivered at the facility in one year.
